System 7: Alpha Wave (Plastikman Acid House Mix) (1995) BFLD25 Tracklist
Richie Hawtin’s 1995 Plastikman remix of System 7's "Alpha Wave" is a legendary, nearly 20-minute masterclass in hypnotic acid techno. This release captures the absolute peak of Hawtin's mid-90s minimalist era, relying on a slowly mutating TB-303 line and stripped-back percussion to lock listeners into a deep groove. Decades later, this marathon remix remains a benchmark for how to build tension and atmosphere on a dancefloor.
