Vaal
For years Vaal was an anonymous alias, until Eliot Sumner, formerly the pop project I Blame Coco, claimed it publicly. The breakout was Wander To Hell on Tale Of Us's Afterlife in 2016, a stripped-back, gentle record that sits at the emotive end of that label's catalogue. The sound has since turned toward breaks-heavy, menacing techno with a dark wave streak, collected on the 2019 album Nosferatu and put out on Vaal's own Pale Blue Dot.
