The Scumfrog
Amsterdam-born and New York-based, The Scumfrog broke through in 2002 with Loving the Alien, a rework of David Bowie's 1984 single released through EMI and pushed into UK clubs by Pete Tong. He founded Effin Records the following year as an outlet for his own progressive and tech house productions. Burning Man has become his most consistent stage, where his sunrise sets on the playa are an annual fixture, and playa tech runs through much of what turns up in his recorded sets.
