Perel
The first German artist signed to James Murphy's DFA Records, Perel arrived there with the space disco single Die Dimension and followed it with the 2018 album Hermetica. The Berlin-based producer sings in German over cold synths, with arrangements that sit closer to Grauzone and DAF than to contemporary house. Her second album, Jesus Was An Alien, moved to Kompakt and leaned into Italo and piano house, with Marie Davidson guesting on the title track.
