Mala
One half of Digital Mystikz with Coki, Mala helped set dubstep's template from South London, co-founding the DMZ night in Brixton and running the Deep Medi Musik label. He works in slow, heavy half-step built on sub-bass and dub reggae, and Anti-War Dub is still the track people know him for. In 2012 he recorded Mala in Cuba with Havana musicians for Gilles Peterson's Brownswood, putting live percussion inside that same framework.
