Judith Van Waterkant

Leipzig DJ and producer who grew up in Rostock on the Baltic coast. Judith van Waterkant plays old hits pitched down and mixes them with melodic downbeat and slowhouse, a slow-tempo style often filed under slowrave. Her first EP, Zingst, is a collaboration with Mere on Acker Records, the sister label of the 3000Grad collective, and its track PoP is built on screeching acid lines. In Leipzig she is closely tied to Institut für Zukunft and the Feat.Fem crew, and she campaigns for more visibility for FLINTA DJs in club culture.
