Francesca Lombardo

Italian-born, London-based, and classically trained in voice and piano before she ever touched a club, Francesca Lombardo built a deep, melodic house sound that leans on her own singing rather than sampled vocals. Damian Lazarus signed her to Crosstown Rebels in 2011, and she runs her own label, Echolette, which she launched a year earlier. Her live show puts her behind synths and on the microphone, sometimes alongside a string section, and her 2019 debut album Life Of Leaf is the fullest version of that idea.
