Eris Drew
Chicago rave culture is the root of Eris Drew's sound: breakbeat-driven house cut with trance melodies, acid lines and chopped vocal samples, played strictly from vinyl. She co-runs the T4T LUV NRG label with her partner Octo Octa from rural New Hampshire, and released her debut album Quivering in Time on it in 2021. Drew calls the pulse she's chased since a 1994 Chicago rave the Motherbeat, and she talks and writes about it as much as she plays it.
