Blawan
Barnsley-raised and Berlin-based since 2015, Blawan makes raw, distorted techno built from hardware jams rather than studio polish. He broke through in 2012 with "Why They Hide Their Bodies Under My Garage?", a blunt 4/4 track riding a chopped Fugees vocal that put him at the center of the industrial techno revival. Most of his music since has come out on Ternesc, the label he started the year he moved. He also performs live as half of Karenn, a hardware-only duo with Pariah.
