Arthur Robert
Berlin-based live act, born in Vienna, who came to techno after teaching himself to DJ drum and bass on vinyl. Arthur Robert is a mainstay on Len Faki's Figure, where the two-part Transition and Metamorphosis EPs laid out his approach: hypnotic loop techno, dry and precise, with jungle and breaks rhythms still audible underneath. He plays Berghain Klubnacht as a live performer rather than a DJ, building sets from his own hardware.
