Ape Drums
Houston-born and Miami-based, Ape Drums joined Major Lazer as its third member in 2019, arriving with a catalog of dancehall and moombahton records on Mad Decent and Fool's Gold. Mutant Brain, made with Sam Spiegel, soundtracked Spike Jonze's Kenzo World ad and is still the track most people know him for. His recent output has moved toward afro house and afro tech, including GQTECH with South African gqom producer DJ Lag, and his recorded sets run through house, techno and reggaeton alongside it.
